Paul Guerin, Chief Executive Officer
Paul Guerin is responsible for driving strategic direction, building business relationships, and overall management and leadership of Jabber, Inc. Guerin brings more than 20 years of high-tech management experience to Jabber, Inc., and possesses a proven track record of building strong sales, marketing, business development, and technology teams. Prior to joining Jabber, Inc., Guerin was the managing partner and chief executive officer of Intelligent Solutions. In addition to leading a number of successful startup companies, Guerin has held executive management positions with IBM, Lotus, and GTSI. Guerin has grown direct and indirect revenue streams by more than $100 million for a number of companies, and cultivated significant partner relationships with IBM, Sun, Oracle, Compaq, NCR, Computer Associates, and Microsoft.
Rick Emery, Vice President of Business Development
Rick Emery has played a strategic role in sales and business development at Jabber, Inc. since joining the company in 2000. Emery’s experience at Jabber, Inc. includes closing complex, multi-stage deals currently in successful production environments. Emery heads up Jabber, Inc.'s business development activity which includes original equipment manufacturer (OEM) relationships, government business, and strategic product partnerships. Prior to joining Jabber, Inc., Emery was the director of business development at MediaOne Group where he was responsible for building partnerships to enable next generation broadband services. Emery also served as business development director at MSHOW, a multimedia collaboration services company for the enterprise market. Emery’s early career was in finance at The Bank of New York and Robertson, Stephens & Co. Emery has a bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University and a masters of business administration from The Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University.
Harry B. Heisler, General Manager of Jabber Government
Harry Heisler brings more than 20 years of experience marketing and delivering technology solutions to government markets through both direct and indirect sales channels. Heisler has overall responsibility for managing and growing the accounts that have positioned Jabber, Inc. as the leading provider of Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP)-based government solutions. Prior to Jabber, Inc., Heisler was vice president and general manager of Ezenia Government Systems, a government technology solutions provider specializing in servicing military, intelligence community, and homeland security customers. Before joining Ezenia, Heisler was the executive vice president and general manager of MicronPC Government Systems, LLC. In both of these roles, Heisler is credited with transforming those companies’ government sales and fulfillment forces into well-regarded, service-oriented government contractors and systems integrators.
Joe Hildebrand, Chief Technology Officer
Joe Hildebrand is responsible for the technical vision, strategy, and execution of Jabber, Inc.’s industry-leading presence and messaging solutions. He is an elected member of the XMPP Standards Foundation (XSF), and has directed standards activities for the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). As an accomplished leader with more than 20 years experience, Hildebrand has served as a chief architect, managed national architecture practices, and designed mission-critical systems for government agencies and many national companies. Prior to Jabber, Inc., Hildebrand held lead technical positions with Interlink Group and Fuentez Systems Concepts, Inc. Hildebrand has spoken worldwide on presence technologies at numerous industry conferences including the Burton Group Catalyst Conference, Comsware, Digital ID World, Enterprise 2.0, Fall VON, VON Enterprise, and XMPP DevCon. He has also authored articles in ACM Queue, SIP Magazine, and Unified Communications Magazine. Hildebrand holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Craig Kaes, Vice President of Engineering
Craig Kaes leads the client, server, quality assurance, and documentation teams and is responsible for the overall development and deployment of Jabber, Inc.'s software solutions worldwide. Since joining Jabber, Inc. in 2000, he has been a vital member of the technology team as the architect of the original Jabber server, in addition to being the server manager and director of engineering. Kaes brings more than 14 years experience leading software development teams as well as designing, developing, and implementing software. Prior to joining Jabber, Inc. Kaes was integral in the translation between the Linux and Unixware TCP stacks at The SCO Group, where he also led the web servers group. Kaes holds a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy of science and a bachelor of science degree in pure mathematics from the University of Colorado, as well as an master of science in computer science from the University of Oregon.
Stuart Lucko, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations
Stuart Lucko has been with Jabber, Inc. since its inception in 2000 and has served as its top financial executive since June 2003. Prior to Jabber, Inc., Lucko served as controller of Webb Interactive and held several positions with a $300 million privately held Arizona real estate company, including senior corporate controller and director of information systems. Additionally, Lucko practiced public accounting with several firms, most notably with Arthur Andersen.
Dave Uhlir, Vice President of Product Marketing
Dave Uhlir has overall responsibility for corporate marketing and product management at Jabber, Inc. a role to which he brings more than 12 years of technology marketing and product development experience. Prior to joining Jabber, Inc., Uhlir spent six years at Sun Microsystems where as the senior director of services product management he had profit and loss responsibility for a strategic portion of Sun’s multi-billion dollar Services business. At Sun, Uhlir also held product management roles in the Solaris and System Management Software groups. Prior to Sun, Uhlir spent six years at Research Systems, Inc. where he was the vice president of product marketing, playing a pivotal role in that company’s acquisition by Eastman Kodak in 2000. Uhlir earned a master of business administration degree from the University of Colorado as well as a doctor of philosophy from Iowa State University and a bachelor of science degree from Tufts University.
