Note: Download of the Jabber MomentIM client is for trial use only and intended for organizations and individuals interested in Jabber, Inc.'s commercial products and services. To begin the download process you must first register (first time users) or log-in (If you've downloaded software from us before) to Jabber, Inc.'s sales and marketing network. When download and installation are complete, the client will be tied to our corporate jabber.com server or one of several public Jabber servers limiting your contacts to that network.
If you are an existing Jabber Inc. customer, please contact your IT department to obtain your client.
If you are looking for an open source client, please go to jabber.org.
Installation Instructions
1. Uninstall Jabber MomentIM 5.2.0 or Hermes pre-release versions prior to installing Jabber MomentIM 5.2.1 To do so, use the “Add or Remove Programs” utility located in control panel.
2. Download the Jabber MomentIM 5.2.1 application (log-in required).
3. Install the Jabber MomentIM 5.2.1 client.
- To install the client, double-click the Jabber_MomentIM_setup.exe and follow the installer prompts. Accepting the default values is recommended.
4. If you do not have an account on jabber.com, you will need to create one. After installing and then launching Jabber MomentIM, click on the "Run the new user Wizard" link, choose a profile name, and click "OK." Type jabber.com under "Select a Jabber Server" or select "Get a list of public Jabber Servers" and click "Next." Follow the on screen instructions to complete the process.
