By equipping each of their servers with a simple Extensible Markup Language (XML) transceiver that publishes information about its status, capacity, load balance, and more, Jabber’s presence server can aggregate that information across the grid, assess trends, recognize and resolve individual and system problems, and remotely assign tasks to the most appropriate machines.

The result is an accurate and real-time picture of their entire grid, enabling them to better serve their internal and external customers’ needs while more efficiently operating their vast networks.
