January 9, 2007 – Denver, Colo. – Jabber, Inc. today announced that the Jabber Extensible Communications Platform™ (Jabber XCP™) has been integrated with the Cisco® Unified MeetingPlace® conferencing solution, allowing customers to simply launch integrated voice, video, and Web conferences from the Jabber Messenger client.

Cisco Unified MeetingPlace conferencing—part of the Cisco Unified Communications system—is a complete rich-media conferencing solution that integrates voice, video, and Web conferencing capabilities. The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace integration with Jabber XCP helps promote effective communications and collaboration by using presence information to allow users to view co-workers’ availability and by providing point-and-click access to voice, video, and Web conferencing from the Jabber Messenger interface.
